Neil Patrick Harris and his husband David Burtka will soon make their American Horror Story: Freakshow debut, and Harris is teasing his Twitter fans about it.
"Just finished filming my last scene for American Horror Story. I need to take a shower. Wash off all this horror," he tweeted.
Harris will play a salesman in Freakshow's episodes 11 and 12, while Burtka will be seen in episode 13, the season finale.
American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy told E! News that Harris was brimming with ideas about the show. "He had very specific ideas of what he wanted to do, and I had very specific ideas, so we're melding them," said Murphy. "He's awesome. I would love to see him and Jessica Lange go at it in some intriguing way."
Harris and Burtka were originally offered roles in American Horror Story: Murder House but they turned it down. They were supposed to play a dysfunctional gay couple who was murdered in the house then later become ghosts.
"We had just played ourselves as a couple, not getting along, and I thought, it just seems weird to do that twice, like as individual actors, to play a couple that hates each other twice. It just felt weird," admitted Harris.
