
Australia will be hosting the New Zealand and England National teams in a six test netball series.
The series will come on the heels of the World Championship that will be held in Singapore in July, where the three teams are expected to vie for the top medal honours.
Australia will take on England in the first three tests, with the games scheduled to be played in Newcastle, Canberra and Sydney.
The Australian Diamonds will then come up against long time arch rivals the Silver Ferns in the final three tests in Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne.
The Diamonds and the Silver Ferns will be competing for the new Constellation Cup, which will be awarded after the Melbourne test, to the team who has won the most of the five encounters that are scheduled to be played this year, two in New Zealand and the three in October.
Netball Australia has enjoyed increased popularity over the last year, with the Commonwealth Games gold medal battle bringing much needed attention back to the sport.
Netball Australia's CEO Kate Palmer said that the growing popularity will help attract big crowds to the Tests in October.
"We are delighted to be hosting six international Tests this year, following what is sure to be a closely contested world netball championships in Singapore in July," she said.
"Having the world's top three netball nations competing here means that Australian fans are in for an absolute feast of international netball."
