As a five-man band formed almost 20 years ago, Newsboys have since sold six million records, headlined festivals attended by more than 100,000 people, and reached the top of the list of the highest earning entertainers in Australia.
Although starting in a garage in Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast, they are better known in the U.S. than in Australia. "This will be our first major national tour in Australia in about seven years so we are really looking forward to coming home," Furler, the frontman of Newsboys told The Age.
After producing 13 albums, the Newsboys are currently working on their 14th album, which will be a double album, due to release during April of 2006.
