The latest buzz surrounding the Nintendo NX is that the console lacks power efficiency. The NX has been compared many times with PlayStation Neo, but reviewers say that NX falls behind due to the incorporated Tegra X1 chip.
However, officials from the team working on NX has confirmed that Tegra chip is being used but it would be of greater power by featuring a Tegra X2 chip.
So far, the performance stats that have been going around were based on the Tegra X1 chip, NX was also powered with four ARM Cortex-A53 cores as well as a Maxwell-based GPU.
However, the new development reveals that the NX would be featured with the Tegra X2 chip backed by four ARM Cortex-A57 cores along with two Denver cores, as well as Pascal architecture GPU. The NX team claims that after these new configurations, the device will provide a faster connection between the GPU and CPU.
Other rumors have suggested that Nintendo has been searching for new publishers and it found one in EA.
EA vice president Patrick Soderlund said the company will always be there for Nintendo, who always brings something new the gaming industry; it is not only the devices they come up with but also IPs. He said that EA will always try to stand as a support for Nintendo.
