This Easter was no exception, Good Friday was spent with good friends eating a lovely dinner and playing board games, while I scooted off to my friend's house as on Easter Saturday we would be leaving early to travel up to Newcastle for a model boat competition. Arriving back to my mate's place I stayed over as we would all be going into the Sydney Easter Show the next day.
The Sydney Easter Show was fantastic, the art was beautiful, the wood chopping was superb and the food, well the food was just delicious, the Easter Show is just a fantastic day out looking at all the livestock and farm life.
But my weekend was far from finished as on Monday my mates and I would be travelling to Manly to see my NRL team the Penrith Panthers take on the defending premiers Manly Sea Eagles. We decided to make a day of it and have fish and chips for lunch and afternoon tea at a cafe run by an ex-Penrith player.
Though Penrith got thumped 30-0 it was still a great day and an end to a very busy weekend. My autumn break doesn't end there, the next weekend I'm off to Wagga Wagga with the same mates again. I haven't been to Wagga before so I am very excited to go down and spend a weekend 'relaxing' on a farm.
This past Easter break told me something I remembered from a bible verse "Be still and know that I am God" – Psalm 46:10, sometimes we get caught up in the rush and forget to just slow down and listen, I think I will be doing plenty of that down in Wagga Wagga
