Eiichiro Oda's exclusive interview about One Piece film Gold will be revealed on Fuji TV on July 23 (10:25am - 11:20am) Japan time, as reported by natalie.mu.
During the interview Oda said, "So, I've accepted the role of executive producer again. Time to make a movie!! The film director is Mr. Miyamoto, a trustworthy man who has been integral to the [One Piece] anime for six years. The script, written by the clever Mr. Kuroiwa, does not disappoint! The animation is done by this guy, and the music by that guy... wait, how am I supposed to advertise this thing without revealing anything!? ... We'll present to you a cool and gorgeous One Piece like you've never seen before! Please hold on tight to your seats as you wait for it in excitement and anticipation!."
Oda is notorious for his reclusive behaviour, so despite being set to appear on Fuji TV, it is unlikely his face will be seen during that interview.
It has been speculated that he is so reclusive because he wants some anonymity when walking around the street after becomign so famous writing the popular One Piece series. It has been said that he could be on par with Osamu Tezuka, a manga author and creator of many of the first Japanese animations.
In addition to the special interview, Fuji TV is scheduled to air a series of One Piece films, such as One Piece: Heart of Gold, set to premiere on Saturday, July 16 at 9PM JST and One Piece film Z on Friday July 22nd. They also just aired a short special on One Piece film Gold.
