A new reality show series on TV will feature a pastor who preaches to prostitutes in hotels to convince them to leave their jobs and turn to Christ.
According to the report by Charisma News, Kevin Brown is a former cop who became a pastor, and is now bringing his know-how of the streets as a way to evangelise escorts in hotel rooms.
Brown will reportedly preach to the prostitutes in an 8-minute message, telling them how Jesus loves them and that they can begin a new life in Christ.
For a long time, Brown has reportedly told his congregation about his experiences as a cop, and his job to track down and arrest these prostitutes.
"Brown told his congregation that for 20 years he's had to arrest these women when what he's really wanted to do is help them. It launched a drive within his church to run these undercover operations. We read that and thought somebody should put a camera on this, it's the most incredible thing I've ever heard", says the show's executive producer, Tom Forman, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
In the report, the pastor is specifically targetting escorts who are being forced into the job. He even has a former prostitute with him to gain the trust of the escort girl.
"Even if this all seems OK to you right now, it's quickly going to become something very different", Brown tells them. Afterwards, the former prostitute will emerge to further convince the prostitute. She would talk about her previous experiences, how scared she was to trust people, and start anew.
According to the report, pastor Brown has also co-founded a group named Safe Passage OC with a fellow former police officer, and several former prostitutes.
