At the final night the atmosphere of the conference was one of enthusiasm evident in the participants. Starting with the opening song the crowd jumped up and sang out loud shaking the hearts of many as they praised the Lord. Pastor Russell Evans gave a succinct meaning to praise defining it as: “Thanking God for everything He has done.”
The theme of the conference was hammered through with a passionate speech by Pastor Sam Evans who reiterated the importance of this generation of youth. She made a passionate plea stating: “Planetshakers is about giving and I along with others am willing to do it again and again to stir the next generation.”
In the intermittence Worldvision a proud partner was heavily promoted where Pastor Russell Evan went to Malawi located in Africa showing how a small amount of donation made in Australia can create a life transforming experiences for the people receiving the donation.
The sermon entitled ‘In agreement’ found in Matthew 18: 18-20 received a rousing responses from the audience. Using both humour and action Pastor Russell Evans illustrates the two choices we had in our life: To either be locked up with the box-maker (Satan) or be set free by the box-breaker (Jesus Christ).
The sermon concluded with the Pastor smashing the boxes imposed by Satan through the weapons which God gave us. These are the Holy Bible and prayer.
The night concluded with a feeling of both patriotism and passion within the participants as they prepare to go out in their mission field to ‘Send revival to this land’. The crowd left ecstatic and from the faces of the audience everyone is looking forward to 2007 where the conference is going to attract ‘thousands more people’.
