The long awaited PlayStation 4 that fans have been talking about has reportedly been leaked in documents regarding the specs and developer guidelines.
The documents, which appears to have be taken from an internal presentation, outlines technical specifications, instructions and features of the upcoming console, WCCF Tech reports.
It also seems that all Playstation titles released from October onwards require adjustments in order to be played on the new console.
The PS4 Neo will coexist with the current PS4 in the marketplace and will share the same application package, online community, store and system software user experience.
It seems that the console will have a Jaguar CPU with 8 cores running at 2.1 GHz, which is 1.3x faster than its predecessor. The GPU will feature 36 Compute Units running at 911 MHz for a 2.3x improvement in Teraflops, while the memory will still be 8GB GDDR5 with higher bandwidth of 218GB/s and with the same HDD as PS4.
A new feature that might be added is a 1080p recording and extra 512 MiB Direct Memory that will only be available for NEO Mode. Sony is also pushing the developer to run their games at a faster and stabler frame rate in the upcoming model.
According to GeeksULTD, Amazon Spain leaked some information regarding the release date of the console and price tag. A posting revealed that Sony will list the new model at EUR 399 (US $449), and is set to be released on 13th October 2016, though there is no image of the item.
