Pokemon has dropped a new music video "I Love Magikarp" which celebrates the flailing fish as "the weakest of them all."
"Weak pokémon, Magikarp. The weakest thing in the world. Weak pokémon, Magikarp. So weak that it's actually shocking," its lyrics, translated lyrics by ComicBook, say.
The cute clip is intended to be a "celebration" of the little splashing fish. While the title of the song speaks of loveit's actually all about how Magikarp does nothing except flop just like any normal fish.
Even the official bio of Magikarp reads, "Magikarp is a pathetic excuse for a Pokémon that is only capable of flopping and splashing. This behavior prompted scientists to undertake research into it."
Koiking, as it is known in Japan, is a medium-sized fish Pokémon with large, heavy reddish-orange scale and only brings out some decent action when it reaches level 19.
This song is the latest addition to the Pokémon buzz surrounding augmented reality game Pokémon Go, which is making waves all around the world
The Slowpoke's reggae song also caught audience's attention for its catchy lyrics and foot-tapping background music. It is being called a better song than that of the official Magikarp song by many.
