A New Yorker has become the first Pokemon Go player to catch all the monsters by traveling around the world.
Pokemon Go fever went several notches higher when Nick Johnson, 28, made a record of catching all the available Pokemon out there.
It took two weeks for him to attain this feat as he dedicated almost 50 hours to the game a week.
He collected 142 Pokemon in the US, which he updated on Reddit.
He caught the very rare Kangaskhan which is only available in Australia and New Zealand. This catch completed the collection of 145 Pokemon available in the game.
He got the rare monster near Sydney's Hyde Park for which he credits some local players after spending 4 to 5 hours in the area looking for it.
"I'd had it on good authority from a number of local players that it spawns down by there with some frequency," he told Mashable Australia.
"I grabbed an Uber to jet over there, but when I got close, there was construction blocking the road. So I got out and sprinted about 5 blocks to the location I'd been given. Luckily it was still there, and I caught it," he added.
He got luckier on his mission as his efforts caught the eye of Marriott Rewards and Expedia, who sponsored his trips to Paris, Hong Kong, Sydney, and Tokyo.
The New Yorker said that there are still five Pokemon from the original 151 left to be found which are yet to be released in the game.
