Retracing the footsteps of Jesus Christ, President Bush, via helicopter, flew to the Israelite's region of Galilee where Jesus Christ first began to preach and perform miracles. Stopping first at Capernaum, President Bush was accompanied by two Franciscan monks who acted as his tour guides.
The monks were reading Bible verses while pointing to the Holy Sites. According to the bible, it is in the town of Capernaum where Jesus performed the miracle of feeding 5,000 people with a few loaves and fishes and it was where Peter was anointed.
After concluding his tour in Capernaum, the president went to the Mount of the Beatitudes where Jesus Christ gave out the famous 'Golden Rule' of Christianity, known as the Sermon of the Mount.
He was welcomed by priests and nuns who gave him a crystal inscribed with his name and a bible verse, from Matthew 5:9, which reads: "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God."
An elated president told reporters accompanying him that it was an amazing experience to retrace the footsteps of Jesus Christ.
