The latest 'short' and 'pithy' young writer video 2 min 37 sec has been released - the 2015 young writer conference in Sydney on 1 August and you guessed it, producer Belinda Croft has done another exceptional job.
This production captures the essence of the matter – it shows action, powerful stills, dynamic small group momentum and highlights both the micro and the macro of the Press Service International (PSI) young writer program.
The program of 85 young people from around the world are published in Christian Today. 15-18 articles each week editor Sophia Sinclair works on and Dr Mark Tronson as chief gets sent the more 'theologically challenging' articles. There are some! http://www.pressserviceinternational.org/
The 2015 conference along with a few helpers (total 49 at this niche conference) saw young writers from -
Adelaide
Melbourne
Sydney
Gold Coast
Brisbane
Sunshine Coast
Auckland
Wellington
Christchurch
Mozambique
China
USA
Most of the International's on the program couldn't make it – domiciled in the USA, Canada, England, Asia, Middle East, West Indies.
In addition Aira Chilcott from Canberra, one of the young writer Panellists determining the annual awards attended so as to write a report on the conference (as had other Panellists for previous conferences).
The Leadership Group Young Writers
The Leadership Group planned the conference and put it together on the day - Russell Modlin (Sunshine Coast), Sophia Sinclair (Christchurch), Laura Veloso (Melbourne), Wes Tronson (Gold Coast), Sam Gillespie (Sydney) and Belinda Croft (former Melbourne now Sunshine Coast).
This year Dr Tronson's only task was the morning 'inspirational' devotional which is shown on the video as a prop – a green curly wig – to emphasise that specific biblical teaching, "When it counts, make it count".
Belinda Croft's other conference videos can be found in the PSI web site "Awards" page - http://www.pressserviceinternational.org/awards.html
The video highlights the awards and major sponsor Mr Basil Sellers AM who provided a $15,000 grant to ensure the young writers could make it to the conference with air-fare scholarships. Then at the very end of the video - celebrated (the late) 'Tony Dunkerley Dinner' named for his passion for this ministry.
This current latest production will astound and - have you rejoicing - in so many young people writing in Christian Today (head-quartered in London) in this, the Australian edition.
Moreover, not least - the annual Awards. On this link are also all the conference videos, along with the Week lists of the young writers! www.drmarkt.weebly.com/psi.html
