|PIC1|M V Tronson is not new to writing. He has been the author of 24 books and has also written for secular and Christian newsprint since 1971. His themes are as diverse as field hockey, matters concerning the Olympics, railway anecdotes, war history and Christian literature.
"In my 1994 book 'No Orchestra, No Trumpet' published by IFH Publishing Co., detailing the pioneering of the Sports and Leisure Ministry (SLM), there was a chapter I titled 'Miracles' which 'recorded the astonishing'," M V Tronson explained.
'Recording the astonishing' sets before the reader, M V Tronson says, a number of very important factors which may so easily be neglected for serious consideration.
Firstly, 'the astonishing' is not restricted to the New Testament era.
Secondly, 'the astonishing' has a life after George Muller and his numerous recounting of miracles for sustenance for his orphanages in the 19th century.
Thirdly, 'the astonishing' can be as much about a 'door opening for ministry' as the ministry itself.
Fourthly, 'the astonishing' in Christian teaching is the resounding belief and joy in the evidence of divine intervention when all appeared to be at a dead-end.
"With these in mind so much of the 'astonishing' has occurred since 2000 in Well-Being Australia's numerous encounters in community ministry, that another publication is very likely," M V Tronson mused.
Being a natural chronicler protected M V Tronson in his Christian ministry during his debilitating stress in 1999, as he was able to assemble evidence to illustrate that his veracity was beyond reproach. Now, for a more jubilant purpose, he is again engaged in painstakingly recording every detail of ministry that includes many instances of 'the astonishing'.
"Yes, it is all there, it has all been published in Well-Being Australia ministry newsletters and news stories, but it is not compiled into a consistent and readable format, so this is what I am considering," M V Tronson noted.
Recording the astonishing for M V Tronson is one of the joys of ministry.
Since 2000 he is able to recount numerous ministry situations involving the International Olympic Committee, Tourism Ministry, the Art Ministry including the Basil Sellers Art Centre opening in 2003 in Moruya, his Life After Cricket engagements, the relocation of his family from Moruya to Tweed Heads and the Basil Sellers Tweed respite facility, and a whole host more.
"Reading victories provides a great high, whether it is a victorious outcome in a novel or a chain of small but poignant victories from the pages of history. It is the stuff from which a person can turn their life around by following the great victory of Jesus over death," M V Tronson noted.
