Sai Joseph explained, for the IPTV viewers, that Myanmar (Burma) is between China to the north, Thailand to the east and India to the west. Mark Tronson thought that his audience may remember romantic stories about Burma, but not be exactly sure of its location.
From the Taunggy Baptist Church, which is one of the largest churches in the Southern Chen State, half way up the country towards China, Pastor Joseph was sent to plant another Baptist Church to the extreme north of Myanmar in the city of Putao.
Initiating a Baptist evangelical ministry in Putao was a really bold step for evangelism for the Baptists of Myanmar and yet once again it has demonstrated that where the Spirit of the Lord is at work through His people there are providential outcomes.
Sai Joseph explained that the Christians of Myanmar are passionate for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and witnessing souls being won for Salvation. He has now seen this church in blossom for the Glory of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In some sense Putao was like the wild west of Myanmar, and so it has been a great blessing to the entire Baptist Convention of Myanmar that Sai Joseph's appointment has borne so much fruit.
