Apparently, following the limited theatrical release and global online premiere of the controversial film 'The Interview,' Pascal's job security is now dependent on how well the movie does in theaters and how much it earns via the Internet.
So while star and producer Seth Rogen is indeed one of the film's biggest advocates, Pascal is evidently rooting for the film's success on the box office as well. A flop could mean the end of the head honcho's career in Sony.
Pascal fielded questions relating to the Sony hacking, the studio's flip flopping decisions regarding its release after she arrived in LAX last Saturday.
This is the first time that she has addressed the matter publicly and was quoted saying that 'The Interview's' $1M first weekend box office take could save her job. The Sony exec also alludes to the possibility that the studio received pressure from President Obama regarding the release of the film.
