Everton have the best form in England as they continue to push for a European place. After beating Chelsea earlier this year the Toffees totally outplayed United as Moyes men ran over the top of a tired and jet lagged Man United. A goal from Bilyaletdinov, Gosling and Rodwell sealed United's 6th defeat this season and has given Chelsea a 4 point gap at the top.
Arsenal kept their premiership aspirations alive with a 2-0 home win over struggling Sunderland. Sunderland's away form is abysmal and it didn't improve at the Emirates (the name of the ground) as goals from Bendnar and Fabregas sealed a reasonably comfortable victory for Wenger's men.
Drogba was the man for Chelsea as the unstoppable Ivory Coast striker scored twice in a tricky match in the Midlands. Ancelottis' men are now 4 points clear after United's slip up and Ancelottis, despite his injury problems believes this is Chelsea's year.
Champions League hopefuls Man City and Liverpool played out a rather dull 0-0 draw. Both teams had limited chances and are making 4th place a very close race as Spurs and Villa both had convincing wins. There is now 1 point separating the 4 sides as Villa won 5-2 at home to Burnley and Tottenham had a convincing 3-0 victory away at Wigan.
In the battle for the drop West Ham were the only winners in the bottom eight teams that are all fighting for their lives. The Hammers had a comfortable victory over fellow strugglers Hull City to move to their highest league position this season. Hull City meanwhile just stay out of the troubled zone thanks to Bolton and Burnley not taking any points.
Blackburn also continued their good form with a 3-0 home victory over neighbours Bolton. Not even a mid game blizzard could halt Blackburn as they firmly moved into the middle of the table.
