As the sun’s rays are beaming down on us, we can feel the warmth of the day. The path is lined with flowers of every species and colour. As we gaze to our left and right, we see reminders of the life Jesus lived.
As our eyes look to the horizon, we see enormous doors. As we draw close to this entrance, we see the writing above the door that reads “Throne Room”. As our eyes start to scan the door, we see it glittered with diamonds, rubies, pearls and sapphires.
The detail is exquisite even down to the uniquely designed golden door handles.
What’s on the other side of the door? How about we take a look?
Knock, knock knock, smoothly the doors slowly open as if floating. We take a breath and step inside. Wow... it’s astonishing! We are stopped in our tracks. It is absolutely breathtaking.
We see an angel walking towards us. Wait... it’s Father God and he’s smiling.
He seems really happy to see us. (Maybe seeing Father God like this is scary but it’s okay, we’re safe.)
Beautiful path
We follow the beautiful path on the way to the door which represents the life Jesus lived, his death and resurrection. It is important to recognise this in our Christian journey. So often, we stop on the path and don’t enter the beautiful door.
If we stay on the path, yes, we experience the love and salvation that come from Jesus and we get to go to heaven. Nevertheless, we miss out on the reason that Jesus came.
He came so that we could be free and to introduce us to the Father. Through this relationship with Father God, we find our identity and our destiny. In that place we learn we are his sons or daughters.
The Heart of God
The Heart of God isn’t that we would just go to Heaven, The heart of God is that we would also get the opportunity to bring Heaven to earth. The Holy Spirit is there to help. He comes and lives inside us for our benefit, and comes upon us for the benefit of others.
When we know we are children of God we recognise that a room changes purely because we step in carrying the presence of God. This world needs disciples that know who they are, a generation that will walk in freedom and relationship with Father God.
To end let’s go back to the throne room where we are just going to have a conversation with Father God (I encourage you to ask these questions along with me and Father God will speak to you. Trust the first voice you hear.)
Father God is there anything between you and me?
Pause
Father God if I give you this stuff between us, what do you have for me in exchange?
Pause
Father God I accept the gift you have for me.

Declaration
Father God I declare that from this moment on, I will walk in your authority. I am your son(or daughter). I am a child of God and I am loved by you. You really, really like me. And I hold onto that truth. I choose to walk in it.
