California band Thrice teased fans with the possibility of a comeback, thanks to an image singer Dustin Kensrue posted.
Kensrue, a Christian singer and songwriter, uploaded an image with the words "Thrice 2015" on Thrice's official website. The words are written in large fonts and placed on top of a picture of the band in a recording studio.
Thrice hasn't done any projects together since 2011, when they released their seventh album called Major/Minor. The band as a group has kept away from the public's eye in 2012 but always hinted at a comeback.
While on hiatus as a group, the members were active in various projects. Kensrue became a pastor in Mars Hill church, the controversial Christian megachurch founded by pastor Mark Driscoll.
Kensrue, who has a tattoo that says "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom" on his left forearm, was one of the pastors who signed a 4000-word letter urging Driscoll to step down. The Thrice singer left Mars Hill a week after the letter was released.
The other Thrice members played for different artists. Riley Breckenridge played drums for a project called Puig Destroyer. Eddie Breckenridge teamed up with members of Blink-182, Nine Inch Nails and Hazen Street to form a band called Angels & Airwaves. A worship album called The Water & Blood was released by Kensrue last year.
While it is not for certain the band will get together next year, fans can enjoy Kensrue's album called Lowborn King, released last November and available on iTunes.
