That normally means the sky is a purple/grey combination that slowly turns into a lovely peach/orange as the sun breaks through over the horizon and the new day arrives.
I say "fortunate" to start early as I have come to appreciate starting the day as quick as I can. I find I am able to accomplish much more than 'sleeping in' to all hours and not getting tasks or projects done.
It also gives me a great opportunity to spend time with God in prayer and reading his word.
I have a daily routine of waking up at 5:30, get ready for work, breakfast and then a daily devotional before the half hour commute to work.
During this time in the car the Sydney Christian radio station Hope 103.2 has a 10 minute segment called 'Time with God'
Hosted by John North from 'Ambassadors for Christ', this devotional goes through a 5-part structure, one for each day of the working week.
Oddly enough I find being in the car by myself a good way to talk to God, it's just me and Him and I can respond to the message each morning after I hear it.
I can see the difference it makes to my day as it kicks it off on the right note and gives me confidence to face the challenges of the day ahead.
My time with God is unique, but that's what makes it so special. You can talk to our Lord and Saviour anytime, anyplace, anywhere. That's what makes Him so great!
