He competed in single sculls, double sculls and an eight, in the Sydney 2009 World Masters Games - and won one Gold and five Silver medals!
On Saturday, October 10, 2009, Tom won a Gold medal with seven rowing buddies – and a coxswain – as well as two Silver medals - in the double sculls and the singles.
On the Monday, October 12, he won another Silver, in an eight man scull and a fourth Silver in a double scull.
Wednesday, October 14, he and seven mates earned number five Silver in the Mixed Eight.
Tom won his first World Masters single sculls in Ghent, in 1994. During the fifth World Masters Games 2002, the rowing events were held on Lake Wendouree, Ballarat, 110km (90 minutes) from Melbourne. Mr Treseder won 1 Bronze, 3 Silver and 5 Gold medals, by winning the "Pairs without coxswain" (two men with an oar each), the "Quadruple sculls" (4 men with an oar each), "Quadruple sculls" (in the 70-75 age category), "Fours with coxswain" and "Fours without coxswain".
