Tributes are flowing in from Christians after the death of Ruth Graham, the wife of evangelist Reverend Billy Graham. She died at the age of 87 and she will be sorely missed by all, especially Reverend Graham whom he described as a best friend and a soul mate to him.
Reverend Pat Robertson, an evangelist said that Ruth Graham was an inspiration to us all and provided a tower of strength to her husband. He joined others in mourning the passing of a great saint of God.
Kay Warren, the wife of Pastor Rick Warren, released a statement saying that she lived a life of servanthood and in doing so provided a role model to many others. Even though her passing was bitter sweet, Mrs. Warren says that, "We should all rejoice knowing that she had gone home to her Heavenly Father and that this day is the one that she lived her entire life for."
President George W. Bush along with his wife expressed their condolences to Reverend Graham and his family, saying that Ruth Graham was a remarkable woman of faith whose life was defined by belief in a personal, loving and gracious God.
Despite the well-wishes of so many, Reverend Billy Graham gave a personal tribute to his best friend and soul mate, saying that, "I am more in love with her today than when we first met over 65 years ago as students…I cannot imagine living a single day without her by (my) side."
Reverend Graham said that he and Ruth both appreciated the letter of encouragements and the prayers they had received.
