First it's back on screen, and now it's being pulled back off again.
The 7th Heaven reruns on UP TV have been on a roller coaster ride following the scandal of its lead character Stephen Collins, who allegedly admitted to molesting several young girls.
Collins plays Reverend Eric Camden in the series, a figure of respect and moral integrity. In real life, Collins is facing trouble with the police after an incriminating audio recording taken by his estranged wife Faye Grant surfaced. There, he admitted to molesting his first wife's relative and L.A. neighbor, among others.
UP TV said in a statement that they "received a mixed to negative response regarding the show on Facebook and in viewer emails" and this is why they will be taking the show off the air again.
"Clearly, a show that has been a fan favorite series for us has been severely impacted," said UP TV.
"We brought the show back because many viewers expressed they could separate allegations against one actor from the fictional series itself, as it turns out they cannot. We will be taking the show back off the air."
