While he was out promoting the new film Fast and Furious 7, actor Vin Diesel received the most touching gift from a fan - a remembrance of his good friend Paul Walker.
A young boy gave a toy car to Diesel and said that it belonged to Walker. The actor shared this special moment in his Facebook page with a sepia photo of him signing posters as the boy looks on with a smile on his face.
"Something special happened at the world's first red carpet event for the F7 trailer release... a kid who had traveled far, just to be there that Saturday morning, actually gave me a gift. It was a little blue toy car... he said it was Paul's car... naturally that moved me. Then he said with a kind of profound wisdom... 'He is with you Dom... keep going,'" wrote Diesel.
Walker passed away last year on November 30. He died in a car crash while returning from a charity event.
During his first death anniversary, Diesel recalled his good friend, "He was a part of so much in my life... long personal talks with my mother or babysitting the Alpha Angel... he took a certain pride in being uncle Pablo... after all, we were filming a scene in FF4 the day she was born, and he being the only one I told, encouraged me to go in and cut the umbilicle cord. He was an important part of my transition into fatherhood... that healthy family member, with the most positive outlook on life... A year ago today... a year of mourning... and his absence still leaves me speechless. We miss you Pablo..."
