As the world welcomes the new year, Netflix and Amazon Prime will bid their goodbyes to some videos on their listings and say "hello" to new set of shows. There are things being added to the watch list, whilst others will go offline soon.
Netflix, Inc. is an "on-demand internet streaming media" provider and was established in 1997. Its services are available to viewers in almost all of North America excluding Cuba, South America as well as some parts of Europe such as Ireland, Norway, The Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, UK, Sweden, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland and Germany. The "flat-rate DVD-by-mail" is offered in the USA, where it is sent via Permit Reply Mail. By September this year, Netflix subscribers are in approximately 40 countries already.
On the other hand, Amazon Prime is an unlimited video streaming service that competes with Netflix. For a certain amount paid annually, subscribers can enjoy selected items sold on Amazon and they can use new unlimited streaming deal to watch over 5,000 movies and TV shows on their Windows PC, Mac and internet-connected televisions.
In January 2015, one of the biggest additions in Netflix's list is the entire "Friends" series. The show was aired on NBC starting 1994 to 2004. The show won't be offered to Amazon Prime subscribers, but they will enjoy some well-liked shows such as Frida and Mr. Mom.
