Leading State and National political figures in this current flood period have said – this is a ‘one in five hundred year flood’.
Everything I have read from science reports to political statements have not disputed this statement.
The climate change plethora of advocates has not challenged these statements as they are based on the science.
Therefore it would appear - to this writer - that these massive floods illustrate ‘Climate Normal’.
The science
Australia’s Professor Ian Plymer a highly recognised and noted scientist and author of many books on climate is like a town crier that there are cycles in climate and what happens today in climate is not new.
It has happened all before.
We are aware of this as those living in flood zones such as the NSW northern rural university town of Lismore have revealed on news casts that floods have been a regular part of the climate decade after decade.
Brisbane’s 1974 floods again illustrate that floods are part and parcel of the Australian climate – Dorothea MacKellar spoke of Australia’s climate – a land of drought and flooding rains …. in her poem – ‘My country - I love a sunburnt country’
Follow the money
The question posed therefore – if everyone concurs this is ‘Climate Normal’ - why are there tantrums about ‘climate change’ – are they this so ill-informed – is there another direction to whit.
This writer has directed this same question ‘Follow the money’ to the vaccine industry and so too - to the climate change economy.
An even cursory look at how many jobs there are around the world have been established studying and promoting climate change is astonishing. Universities and Commerce have their hand in the till. There is now a world economy centred on climate change.
It is like a large stone rolling down a hill – how do you go about stopping it? Very difficult question and the options involve considerable loss of employment and a frightening result upon the economy.
There we have it
We have two opposing scientific stratagem - both fully endorsed by the science community and the political classes.
Climate Change requires funding as this is a politically economic advantageous policy.
Climate Normal is endorsed by the political class and endorsed by the science as the reality is beyond dispute.
Moreover, both stand side by side. An unending money supply is handed out to climate change advocates, and at the same time, the reality is cyclical.
This double talk was not lost on the British with their anthem ‘God Save the Queen’ in the second stanza highlights - “God confound their politic” ….
