reminders as the Kiwis stand alone
The young writers program of Press Service International in conjunction with Christian Today now functioning for 10 years - and since 2013 have had a series of ‘behind the scenes’ people to ensure the young writer program runs smoothly.
The 2019 young writer program is no different and their energies put in place the mechanisms whereby each of the 105 young writers in the program get published. They are set apart in various groups.
The Week Coordinators send out the reminders for their due dates, and once in, they check the letterheads and BIOs. Then they are forwarded to the Week Editor.
The Week Editors check each of the articles for the usual errors in grammar and syntax and forward any suspect theology to the two in-house theologians. Once all edited - they are forwarded to the national office.
The photo selectors meanwhile select from the various free photo on-line sites for each article as Christian Today editor David Chang says a good photo brings with it a plethora of additional readers.
The two in-house theologians are Bishop Brian Carrell in Christchurch and Dr Vic Matthews based in Moruya, NSW. The week editors also have helpers to work through difficult articles, Rev Paul Cornish (Taranaki) and Vic Matthews.
