I honestly don’t know how I would have survived last year if I was locked down in a city. In the years following sliding down the highway through peak hour traffic photography has become an important part of my life.
It’s hard to believe it’s already been 8 years since my first two poetry and photography books were published. What started as a project to help save my life has now grown into being accepted into the 2021 Ballarat International Foto Biennale.
I made a deliberate effort last year to share at least a photograph a day across facebook, twitter and instagram as my way of helping those struggling. As someone who has spent hours in bed when I’d rather be out and about I’ve experienced the positive impact having a window into someone else’s world can have.
What started as thinking about the changing seasons of our lives has solidified into the concept of selecting the 13 best photographs I shoot during each season for a collection of limited edition calendars, prints and NFT’s at the end of each year.
This helps me pick up the camera regularly enough to capture the photographs needed for each of the four calendars. My desire is that through my simple offering your life is enriched.
