Elise Pappas an Over 31 young writer from the Sunshine Coast is Press Service International’s new ‘mission media coordinator’.

Elise and Daniel have 2 children, they have stepped aside from their local church on the Sunshine Coast – Daniel is seeking of the Lord another pastoral role leaving Elise a free hand.

Master Christian media list
Dr Mark Tronson engaged in media ministry over several decades with a substantial listings of Christian media in Australia, New Zealand and International, and likewise Mission societies lists ion the respite ministry. These lists are not available (obviously).
Ramon Williams did this for 50 years - and has greatly encouraged Elise Pappas. A recent article ‘2 Australian Baptists’ details Ramon’s remarkable ministry.

How it works
The program works the same as Ramon Williams engaged it for 50 years.
First
Mission society / Home Mission - send their Word document to Elise Pappas.
Second
Elise Pappas checks it, does any editing and sets it up ready for distribution. If an edit is required, Elise sends it back to the writer for approval.
Third
Determines which category for appropriate distribution.
For example, should a mission society wish to publicise that a mission couple and their children are heading to the Middle East, that might not be the article to send to the international secular media. Rather such an article might be sent to Australian Christian media.
Should an Australian missionary agency have a change of Treasurer, that news item might not be appropriate for AAP in Australia. It wouldn’t be news worthy enough.
A process is necessarily applied to determine where best a mission agency item might best be sent. For example, we would not send ‘sermons’ or ‘devotionals’ to Christian media, as those publications are inundated with their own supply of such. But a remarkable event or personal honour achievement or award would be.
Horses for courses.
A powerful ministry
This mission media distribution ministry cannot guarantee publication anywhere. Like Ramon Williams did for 50 years, it sends articles and photos to as wide a distribution as applicable.
In this, this is a powerful ministry as the list of end recipients would otherwise not hear - Ramon Williams celebrated this with his heralded line of telling others what the Lord is doing.
ARPA circulated this development to its Australasian Religious Press Association.
