The 2020 Press Service International young writer’s conference is being held on the Gold Coast on Saturday 12 September with one of the key note speakers is young writer Joseph Kolapudi.
Plenary - ministry out side the cloisters of the church - ie in the community. Joseph is a stalwart at the India-Australia Association and won many awards.
Joseph Kolapudi’s responsibilities
I currently work with ReachAcross, an international mission agency to reach Muslims, especially focusing on youth, as the Brisbane Manager. This is my current, full-time role.
Additionally, I also serve as the PR and Content Manager for Business as Mission (BAM Global), which is part of the Lausanne Movement for World Evangelisation. I assist with content creation and social media promotion.
I also am the Multicultural Ambassador for the Mental Health Foundation of Australia (MHFA). Through this role, I also assist with representing the South Asian community in regards to mental health challenges and assistance.
Currently, I am on the State Youth Council for Multicultural Youth Queensland (MyQ), which is one of the peak bodies for young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds. I assist with events and cultural activities.
I am on the board of Australian Refugee and Migrant Care Services (ARMCare), a Christian charity that provides support and care services to refugee and migrant communities. I provide governance and assistance for the organisation.
And a creative collaborator with the SAARI Collective, which is a South Asian Australia media platform.
We'll meet his bride at the conference, Joseph was married last year in India.
