Press Service International (PSI) in conjunction with Christian Today provide a young writer ministry and more so, the PSI web site houses each young writer’s articles in their own CV sites.
For the first 10 years it befell me to update each day these CV sites and while there was 30 or so young writers the hyperlinking was not too bad. But when it go to 70, then 80 and now 105, it became impossible.
Young writer Josh Hinds the webmaster of the PSI site housed by Weebly, came up with an idea to have each young writer update their own hyperlinked articles onto their own CV sites.
Last November Josh Hinds sent out the first lot, another young writer Brent Van Mourik of Brisbane wrote out the script to do the upload and then in December Sunshine Coast young writer Cartia Moore did an in-house video.
Then in late January Josh Hinds sent the weebly ‘links’ out again and it wasn’t long before a great many more of their CV sites were unloaded their respective hyperlinked articles.
Christian Times, China
As if on queue, the editor of the Christian Times, China – in all Chinese – no English, contacted me seeking permission to translate one of these young writer articles into Chinese and publication in the Christian Times China.
This request was sent onto David Chang in New York the Christian Today for his reply, instead David suggested I reply on behalf of Press Service International (with his blessing) and provide permission.
That permission led to the Christian Times, China being added to the daily PSI mail out of each day’s articles.
The editor of the Christian Times, China, having received their very first daily PSI e-mailout responded asking permission to use these articles, which was given. It takes a month to do the translation into Chinese and we will be advised each time an article goes to publication in the Christian Times, China.
Readership explosion
David Chang was included in these correspondences with Christian Times China and responded with significant delight in the Lord as the articles published in Christian Today will have such an increased massive audience, the numbers become bewildering.
Moreover, the Christian Times, China ‘editor’ is checking out each young writers CV sites to check out their articles, with a special interest in their situation (Christian Times, China) in spiritual growth in the light of the persecution of Christians.
This in turn has spurred on the young writers in their determination to ensure their CV sites are updated with their article hyperlinks.
Having been to China myself and having numbers of Chinese young writers over the years in the young writer program, the Chinese in their business, education and Christian ministry are a meticulous people. This situation of our young writers being published in Christian Times, China will become a milestone in this ministry.
