  • God, I am amazed by you

Flashback to 90s music. One song comes to mind – Amazed by Lonestar in 1999. Those who are 90s kids like me will relate. Those who don’t, please refer to Google. This was/is still a very popular wedding song because of its lyrics.

  • How do I pray?

This was one of the first questions I asked myself when I first became a Christian. But I was unsure and unwise to ask my friends how to do this because I did not come from a Christian family or background.

  • Sun, sin, son

Every time I think of the sun coming out, I think of the Bible verse Lamentations chapter 3 verse 23, “They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness”. The sun reminds me that God has new mercies for me every morning. The rays of the sun feel like the rays of mercy. I may not necessarily see it, but I feel it.

  • Top 5 tips on how to be a Christian

How do you stay on track with Jesus? I had someone ask me this question recently.

  • Asking

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. (Matthew 7, verse 7)”

  • Same story, different chapter

When I walked into church 13 years ago, I did not anticipate staying here for that long. To be honest, I had no idea or no concept of what having a home church was. Because this is where my journey as a Christian began.

  • A tea in time

I usually drink a cup of green tea every night.  It is a cup of pure green tea because there's no caffeine in it to enable me to sleep. Not that I can’t sleep but it relaxes me. Unfortunately, I have this distaste of chamomile, so I have found pure green tea as my alternative.

  • My Tangled Fear and Faith

Hope and faith. Trust and faith. Love and faith. Some common terms I hear in the Christian world.  Goes together, hand in hand. But what I tend to experience more is fear and faith.

  • The Anticipation of Grief

I sat at a funeral service. I had mentally prepared myself not to cry, not be emotional. I knew that once I started a drop of tear, it would soon flow into a river.  Yes, I may have been mentally prepared. But was I emotionally prepared? Maybe not.

  • Content but not Satisfied

We as Christians should live a contented life. Grateful for what God has given us, rather than focusing on what we do or do not have. Being content at each stage of life.
