No, this isn’t a love letter. It’s our breakup. You’re a thief, killer, and destroyer of anything good. You continually over promise, and under deliver.
You’re a sore-loser and I won’t let you win willfully any longer. I’m not going to lie and use the famous breakup line: “It’s not you, it’s me,” because 'it is all you'. Don’t believe me, Deceiver? Don’t worry, I’ll explain.
Lucifer, you’re a finite and jealous being. Because you couldn’t touch the glory of God, you hate all that gives Him glory. You know that God deserves all the glory, can’t you just leave His people alone? Instead you set yourself and your defeated army to tempt Christ’s followers to stop giving Him glory.
On behalf of the redeemed people of God, I assure you that we will not stop. Not now, not for eternity.
Oh small roaring lion, you will not devour me. Your roar is bigger than your bite. You twist and pervert the holy word of God to confuse and manipulate God’s people. I will not be deceived. By abiding in the truth, I will be able to expose the lies you whisper from the still small voice of God.
I know that you know scripture, therefore I will study God’s word in its proper context to ready me against your lying tongue.
Condemning Accuser, you will not move me with your insults. You continually remind me of my worthlessness, fear, doubt, and shame. All these accusations are true, however they go hand-in-hand with the victory on the cross of Calvary. I am worthless, I do have fear, I do doubt, and I do have shame, but I rest on my soul of the three blessed words of Jesus, “It is finished.”
Because of these words, I have worth, confidence, truth, and forgiveness in the name of Jesus. I am no longer a slave to your accusations. I know my worth in Christ.
Old friend, I will not be consulting with you anymore. I’m choosing to walk away from this relationship. I’ve given you too much room in my life. You’ve taken advantage of me and left me alone, dissatisfied, and broken. I praise God that He is a restorer of everything you’ve taken from me. Satan, everything you intend for evil, my God will work out for my good and His glory.
I know you’ll won’t leave me alone, but that’s okay, because I’ll love all the opportunities you’ll give me to glorify God in the midst of the battle. Bring it on, Fallen Foe. My God is stronger.
Sincerely,
Aaron Sabio
