What a dull, flavourless life the world is accepting for itself. Willing to sacrifice taste and substance for a few more days of undignified tinned preservation. I like my bread fresh from the bakery, it doesn’t last as long as the over engineered loaves from the mega-factories and giant supermarket chains, however, it is a much more pleasurable eating experience.
I like my Christianity the same. Give me a preaching that is found in the dew of the morning, bread from heaven, fresh with the proceeding word of God. Once you taste the good stuff, the generic, processed, additive filled, franchised mega church menus fail to stir the soul or senses.
Life itself should be savoured like fresh, warm bread. The only reason we ever really choose the mainstream, preservative filled loaf of lesser life is because we are worried about tomorrow. The little things always expose us. For convenience, we forsake small business and small churches.
We over-work with the masses to avoid small, close friendships. We will sacrifice quality and Kin for longevity and advertised conformity. We do all this, knowing that the fresh stuff is better for us, and it is available each new day.
Christ never intended to be preserved in the cultic rights of religion. Christ came to be eaten fresh – day after day.
It is Christ who told us to give no thought for tomorrow, as we do what is right today. It is Christ who told us that whoever wishes to save their life must lose it. When Christ told us to take up our cross and follow Him, He was not talking about an amulet of protection around our neck but a stigma of societal shame on our back and a life walking toward risk in the face of death.
Christ’s risky yet rewarding way of life remains the only proven way to eternal life. Christ stands in contrast with the dogma of climate change alarmists and covid regulators, notably, self - preservation at the expense of all else. Under this insidious doctrine, the most self - serving advance while others fail.

Look at the advantage billionaire tech moguls have made, colonising the masses, and baptising us into their dictatorial empires during Covid. Their message and methods are, in essence, anti-Christ.
There is no self -preserving measure you can take that will give you back your true life. Stay at home, keep your distance, get your jab, cover your face, live a few more mediocre days under the control of an Anti-Christ Hive mind.
What a dull dystopia. Peter, like a good, concerned disciple, tried to preserve Jesus, and keep him safe. Jesus recognised Satan was at work in him and gave Peter a sharp rebuke. You do not light a lamp to keep it under a basket or divert from a mission because of danger. The Fathers will came first.
Jesus said, “I lay down my life that I may take it up again”. By the time this article is read I will be taking up the life I laid down back in Australia. I travelled out of Australia[JR1] to South Africa during an international travel ban.
I arrived in the height of the second wave of the South African variant. I saw my wife for the first time in several months. I got return tickets cancelled again and overstayed my visa for the third time. I preached in a South African Church more times than many pastors have in their own pulpits for the last year. I lost a lease, a few jobs, lots of income.
Thank God, I did not lose any of these things because of fear, thank God I did not keep these things because of fear. I simply laid them down, so that I can take them up again. I do not have long term plans. I do have fresh bread.
