Christian missions run annual programs that are planned and developed the previous year – they look at mission strategies, personnel, volunteers, finances, fund raising and the like. Look at business and mission is a microcosm of the same type of preparation into the future.
Our Well-Being Australia mission is the same. This 2020 year we planned a new web site to house the young writer CV sites. The young writer Brain’s Trust meets next month (now put back) to plan the 12 September annual young writer conference, Nothing new about this. The New Testament’s Acts of the Apostles reveal planning for mission trips. Jesus spoke of how military campaigns are planned.
It was in 2011 - and 24 months on from Olympian of the Century, Carl Lewis, presented Well-Being Australia chairman Mark and Delma Tronson the Olympic Ministry Medal (OMM).
24 months is a long time in Mission. I thought I’d reflect on what occurred in that period of time - 2 years 2009-2011.

The art ministry initiated in 1999 in Moruya and then expanded to Tweed Heads in 2006 developed the Basil Sellers Art Centre and Basil Sellers Art Prize in Moruya and the opening of the Basil Sellers Tweed Art Studio.
Laguna Quays Respite
We opened the “Basil Sellers Laguna Quays Respite” on the Whitsundays mainland as a missionary respite house. The first mission visitors came in Easter of that year. Since then it has been a continuing flow of visitors.
Ezekiel chapter 2 verse 7
“You shall speak my words to them, whether they hear or whether they refuse ..” Some years ago it was said I was resilient for the Gospel. Elijah was described as a pest (resilient as ...) Yes, I like that!
John chapter 15 verse 5
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without me you can do nothing.”
2020 is our 43rd year in faith finance mission and we are so truly thankful to our financial supporters in their tirelessness - 2009-2011 was especially demanding and the Lord honoured.
How blessed we are with the privilege of mentoring the next generation (young writers) of Christian leaders - 'in the field' as it were!
Micah chapter 4 verse 5
“But we will walk in the name of the Lord our God Forever and ever.”
A great deal has happened over that 24 months ….. as they say, 24 months is a long time in Mission. More information on their ministry can be found at their web site www.bushorchestra.com
