Australian Over 31 young writer Tom Anderson and Internationals Over 31 Jason Lalone won their respective Theology Awards presented at the annual young writers conference on the Gold Coast on Saturday.
The Awards are presented at 4.00pm of the conference each year – there are a number of awards but with Covid 19 restrictions many were unable to attend in 2020.
Each of the Australian and International young writers in the Press Service International program in conjunction with Christian Today sent in their BEST article for the five Panellists to mark out of 25 - the 25 mark was chosen as in previous years there have been too many multiple winners out of 10 marks.

Theology Award
The Theology Award addresses the young writer’s grasp of the interlocking aspects of theological thinking and how the saving grace of Jesus powers thru.
There is a long list of celebrity young writers over the years who have been acknowledged for their astute theological appreciations.
Tom Anderson - Over 31s Theology Award
Tom likes Indian spices, French cars, British drama and Japanese gardens. He goes running nearly everyday, but early in the morning so that he doesn't miss time with his wife and two young kids. In his spare time, Tom is a Special Needs and Technology teacher.
Tom Anderson cites every day illustrations in his articles allowing the Christian theology to bean through to the reader. The Panellists recognised this.
Jason Lalone - Internationals Theology Award
Jason LaLone was on staff at YWAM Brisbane and is currently in America working with Truro Anglican Church located in Fairfax, Virginia. He is passionate about discipleship, taking Jesus’ command to make disciples a practical reality that he can live on a daily basis. He loves lasagna, cats and used to dislike Mondays, making him most like Garfield.
Jason speaks of his experiences as an associate minister of an American congregation and his theology presents a clarity and a solid direction for faith in Christ.
