I want to share what God is doing in my life to encourage you that he has called you for greatness.
In April this year. I was at a conference over the Easter weekend. As I was at this conference, one of the guest speakers was talking about missions. As this preacher was speaking, the Lord started to burn something alive in my heart for missions.
I have always wanted to go on a mission trip but there has been a limitation that has held me back. I have always put excuses in a way that has robbed me of my calling in this area. Of course finances is always a limitation but I had decided to not allow anything to get in the way of God's calling.
About a week before this conference, one of my best friends and pastors in my local church suggested that we take a mission team to Thailand. I thought that would be nice but didn't give much thought to it then.
The conference
During this conference, the Lord began to stir something about that earlier conversation into my heart for Thailand. After the message, the preacher said if you feel a calling for missions then come up to the altar. As he said that, the Holy Spirit said it is your time to go up and receive.
As I was standing at the altar call, the preacher came to me and said, “Thailand. You will go this year." Wow if God is real then this night was defining for me.
Now in a few weeks I will be heading off to Thailand to preach the gospel with a team from our church. I am so excited and humbled with this assignment to take Jesus to another nation. A dream come true!
Adventure
But let me say, it has been an adventure to get to this place. As I have served faithfully in doing seven years of internships and by serving the local church, now the Lord has opened up this door to go to Asia.
I don't know what God has placed in your heart. Maybe it is missions or starting a ministry in your local church. Whatever God has given you, can I encourage you to step up in your destiny and walk into all that he has destined for you.
I believe that if you are reading this, the Holy Spirit wants to remind you of who you are created to be, to start to see an outworking of the Holy Spirit in your life, to see his Kingdom come and his will be done.
Follow the Lord’s leading
You may be broken today because of a hard situation that looks endless, yet don’t sit still but step up into your destiny. Your life matters and what he has chosen for you to walk in, you can do it because if God has spoken to you, then you can fulfil the area in which he has called you to walk into.
God always responses to the yes that he has placed in you. The yes will define you with every decision and choice that you make.
It is crazy that I said No to Thailand five times and when I said Yes to Jesus then he started to move in power. I believe that he will do that for you today if you just say Yes to what he has called you to walk into.
