Panellists and Connect people
This continues to work well - each young writer selects their BEST article which is sent to their respective Connect person. The Connect person collates them and forwards to the respective 5 panellists.
The 5 panellists mark the BEST articles and forwards them to the statisticians - the final marks are sent to Well-Being Australia,
We found some issues in this process, late BEST articles, a few of the Panellists went missing due to all sorts of reasons – such as medical.
Separation
This entire process separates Well-Being Australia from marking and annual results as designed way back in the first instance.
The winners are advised early so as to get a three quarter photo for the awards photo shop with the certificate with MC Russell Modlin. Many were unable to attend due to distance and Covid restrictions.
Sam Gillespie’s parents have a trophy business and they to the digital certificates.
Groups of three
The week coordinators, the week editors and week photo selectors are the central process by which the program works.
There are 5 weeks in each Cycle – 10 Cycles a year. In those 5 weeks are placed writer publishing days.
This is the engine room of the young writer program.
