  • Hmmmm...

So as usual, the deadline of this article crept up on me by surprise and I am writing this in a bit of a sweat, wondering if I can conjure up some life-affirming or earth-shattering revelation about myself or God.

  • It’s not really chocolate…

You know how you hear phrases and you think ‘ I should write an article on that!’ Step forward exhibit A, please…

  • Hearing and arguing with God

So oddly enough - make of this what you will; the French Bordeaux helped me to hear the voice of God quite clearly! Or at least it felt like I could hear him more ‘cleanly’ out there than here. I am not saying I have lost my edge now, but I am saying that in this new time things feel different. Or do they?

  • Dear God can I have?

I had an interesting coffee and catch up with a person who is fast-becoming a friend that I trust. I was introduced to her via my sister (thankyou !) and we have been able to share stories of God and his faithfulness to us both, as well as  struggles and triumphs.

  • How do you know?

In culture today, there is a slight obsession with knowing. Whether it is knowing yourself, knowing the world in which you live, knowing your spouse or boss, knowing it seems is very highly desired by people.

  • Respecting Politicians

It has just gone nine o’clock in the evening and after a longish day at work and with this week’s deadline approaching, I knew I had to write this article and was doing what any normal person would do: checking their Facebook feed! I was attempting to find some inspiration that would help me with my article. I did not have to look that far. It came in the shape of a picture of the Prime Minister of my country with some awful captions.

  • Quick, Quick, Slow

As I sit here on my bed, the wind is swirling round the dust and sun-drenched leaves. They are like brown husks – lying in snow-like drifts across the road and paths. It is a bizarre scene, in the middle of our summer. I am not sure whether I should be ordering yellow or black tops!

  • ‘I am President’ and other challenges to our flat-earth culture

I have just started a new contract. I am finding it to be a thrilling, exciting and challenging season in my life.

  • Learning to hang out

  • When God invoices you

As I sit on my balcony, with a snow-capped mountain to my left and the pearl-blue sky above I am thinking about the end of my time in France.
